The driver of a white pickup died and five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Pacoima that sent a car careening into an apartment building.

Crews are responding to a multiple-vehicle wreck involving a police cruiser in the San Fernando Valley Monday night.

A police chase involving the Los Angeles Police Department ended Monday with a police shooting on the off-ramp of the 5 Freeway in Pacoima, and the suspect was fatally shot by officers.

Jose says no one has ever asked him to leave the hillside or offered him housing, but that he would take it if it was. In the meantime, he said working the land brings him joy, and it makes him happy to know that his work makes others smile.

Defensive operations were underway as the structure was well-involved in flames and threatening several vehicles.

Starting April 7, 16 drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics will pop up across Los Angeles County with hopes of providing access to more people. The clinics, which will be held outdoors, are open for everyone and will run through May 1.

The Los Angeles Police Department is warning the public about an armed and dangerous man wanted for fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend in front of their young child in Pacoima, authorities said Thursday.

A resolution calling for the closure of Whiteman Airport was unanimously supported by the Los Angeles City Council.

A 16-year-old girl who may be suicidal went missing in Pacoima, and authorities sought the public's help on Monday to find her.  

Los Angeles City Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez said the closure is necessary to bring in housing, jobs and economic opportunities to the region.
