California National Guard helping protect fire zones

Members of the California National Guard were deployed to fire zones in LA County to help protect neighborhoods. A curfew has been implemented from 6 p.m. to 6 p.m. in an attempt to prevent criminal activity.

Palisades Fire force new evacuations, road closures

Despite winds dying down temporarily, the Palisades Fire has begun spreading east, forcing new sets of evacuations to residents close to Encino, Bel-Air, Brentwood and Westwood. Meanwhile, young community leaders and content creators teamed up to put together a massive donation collection event at the Santa Anita Park.

3 fires needing evacuations break out across LA

Firefighters in California are battling not one, but three separate fires across Los Angeles County. All three fires -- Eaton, Hurst and Palisades -- have forced evacuations in the area. The Palisades fire devastated the Pacific Palisades while forcing parts of Brentwood, Malibu and Santa Monica to evacuate while the Hurst fire forced parts of Sylmar to evacuate. The Eaton fire torched parts of Altadena and Pasadena, forcing residents in those two areas to evacuate or get ready for an evacuation order.
