A woman in Santa Ana is demanding answers from police after Max, her German shepherd, was shot four times by officers.

The suspect was identified by authorities as 29-year-old Jorge Andreas Delgado. He died in the crash along with 32-year-old Leticia Placencia Alvarado, who was an innocent driver.

Santa Ana police say a distraction scam left an elderly man seriously injured after the suspects struck him while fleeing from the scene.

Their son, now 5-years-old, suffered permanent brain damage, leaving him a quadriplegic unable to walk, talk, or see.
