Exclusive surveillance video shows the moment where Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies opened fire in a shootout with a carjacking suspect in Norwalk that resulted in the death of an innocent man, 67-year-old Pedro Lopez.

The daughter of the man found dead in a backyard in Norwalk said that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department didn’t listen to her pleas when she tried to tell him that her father was still inside the home that they said was evacuated before a shootout with an armed carjacking suspect.

A possibly armed carjacking suspect was taken into custody in Norwalk early Friday morning following a search and temporary evacuation orders in the area, police said.

A group of suspects who may be connected to a murder investigation is in custody after leading deputies on a chase across Los Angeles County.
