Eight officers and one civilian employee of the Los Angeles Police Department have tested positive for the coronavirus, the department announced Monday.  

A third Los Angeles police officer has tested positive for the coronavirus and was exhibiting symptoms inside the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division station for several days this week, according to the department.

The Los Angeles Police Department on Thursday confirmed a second employee who has tested positive for COVID-19.
