LAPD Chief Michel Moore denies that officer Houston Ryan Tipping, who was fatally injured during a training exercise, was beaten by fellow officers or suffered any lacerations to the head, as alleged in a damages claim filed against the city by Tipping's mother.

Houston Tipping was injured in May during a training exercise, in which his mother alleges he was beaten by fellow officers to "simulate a mob," a lawsuit she filed claims.

The 32-year-old was honored at a funeral service packed with high ranking officials and representatives of law enforcement, fire and many support agencies.

Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday for Los Angeles Police Department Officer Houston Ryan Tipping, who died after suffering a spinal cord injury during a training accident at the agency's Elysian Park academy.
