VIDEO: Valencia woman sues Carlsbad police for excessive force

A Valencia woman is suing the city of Carlsbad and several of its police officers after she says they used excessive force with her. The alleged beating was caught on cellphone video...

It's been more than two years since Cindy Hahn says she was pinned to the ground and punched by Carlsbad Police. But, it was just recently that the San Diego District Attorney cleared her of any wrong-doing, so now she has hired heavy hitter defense attorney Mark Geragos to go after the City of Carlsbad and some of its officers because of this video.

The video shows Hahn being kneed and punched by that second officer who showed up to the scene.
According to Hahn it all started at a different location when the arresting officer cursed at her - after she asked him a question about a car alarm in the neighborhood that was sounding off.

She took it upon herself to call police and report that officer and then she drove away.

Not long after, she says that's when she was pulled over for a seatbelt violation by that same officer and things quickly got out of control.

The City of Carlsbad issued a statement saying:

"The City of Carlsbad looks forward to bringing this lawsuit before the proper judicial authorities as soon as possible. We are prepared to provide a complete and detailed account of the facts of this incident in a courtroom, not in the media."

Attorney Mark Geragos says they want the police officers fired and reform at the Carlsbad police department.
