Two killed after RV crashes and clips fire hydrant in Canoga Park

Two people died after a motor home hit a fence, clipped a fire hydrant and tumbled into the Browns Canyon Wash flood control channel in Canoga Park today.

The incident was reported to officials at 3:21 p.m. at 8433 DeSoto Avenue, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Power lines might also have fallen in the crash, and firefighters were handling a spill of diesel fuel from the RV, Humphrey said.
