Teen shocks cancer-stricken homecoming date with sweet surprise

A high school student from Kentucky is battling cancer for the second time.

Last Saturday, Allie Allen attended a homecoming dance with Brayden Carpenter, a senior whom she has known since 6 th grade.

When Brayden arrived to pick Allie up, he had a big surprise in store. He shaved his head to make Allie feel more comfortable with hers.

School officials spoke to FOX 13, saying that it was an incredible gesture for Allie.

Allie also was the junior homecoming princess for Houston High School. She loves the football team and despite undergoing treatment at St. Jude, she doesn't miss games.

During each game, she can be seen in her pom uniform. Last week, Allie even gave the team a pep talk from her hospital bed as they prepared for a big game.

And sadly, Allie is alone in her fight against cancer. Her mom, Debbi, is currently battling breast cancer,

Allie's dad is a FedEx pilot, but he has had to miss flights to stay home and care for his family.

They have set up a GoFundMe page to help with medical costs.
