Six shot, one critically, during warehouse party in Downtown L.A.

Six people, three men and three women, were shot at a party in downtown Los Angeles early Sunday and at at least one of the victims was critically wounded, police said.

The shooting occurred around 1:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of 11th Street; it appears the party was at a warehouse.

At least one of the victims was critically wounded, said Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD's' Media Relations Section.

According to the police department there was a fight at the party and a lone gunman pulled out a handgun and fired several shots, Lopez said.

The victims were in their late teens or early 20s, according to sources at the scene, who said the party was at a warehouse.

Lopez also said that four men were also shot in the 800 block of South Spring Street at another party just after midnight Saturday, in an apparently unrelated incident.

All four victims were taken to hospitals and last listed in stable condition.
