Search for hit-and-run driver who killed Compton teen

(FOX 11) - He was supposed to graduate from high school this Thursday, but a hit-and-run driver cut his life way too short.

The teen's mother is calling on the driver to turn himself in.

It's always difficult to watch when someone shares their private pain, in this case the loss of a son to a hit and run driver.

But Rachel Quezada decided to share her emotions over the loss of her 18-year-old son Christopher in Compton onMmay 26th, hoping it will lead someone who knows what happened, or recognizes the blurry speeding car captured on traffic cameras.

Christopher was crossing Wilmington, in a crosswalk, when a speeding car ran a red light hit him at about 60 miles per hour, and never slowed down. "He didn't deserve to die like that... If you have a conscious come forward'' were her pleas, through tears, surrounded by loved ones.

They were all together because they planned to go to Christopher's high school graduation.
