Police search for man who allegedly murdered wife in front of their child

Authorities are on the hunt for a man who allegedly stabbed his wife more than six times in Van Nuys Sunday morning, all in front of their 12-year-old child.

31-year-old Viridiana Teran was found in an apartment at 4900 Woodman Avenue with several stab wounds. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Police say there was a commotion shortly after 6am, and a child came running outside screaming for help.

Police say the suspect, 39-year-old Aurelio Teran, is the victim's husband of 12 years.

Police say Teran fled the scene before neighbors or officers arrived.

There are now several agencies on the hunt for him, including CHP, the FBI, and the US Border Patrol.

Teran is described as extremely dangerous, and is believed to be driving a grey Ford F-150 pickup truck with CA plates 8E94842, and pink stencil writing on the side which says "VIVY House Cleaning".

"We are asking for the public's help locating him, he is considered extremely dangerous, he's somebody that can cause this type of damage to his wife in the presence of their child, you can only imagine what else he's possibly capable of," said Lillian Carranza of LAPD's Van Nuys decision.
