Playboy Mansion for sale...could it become a club?

The Playboy Mansion is up for sale and could soon have a new owner and a new purpose.

TMZ reports that a theater businessman Jeff Beacher, known for the Beacher's Madhouse fame has met with executives from Playboy in regards to a potential offer to buy the 6-acre Holmby Hills estate and crafting a partnership with Playboy Enterprises to use the Playboy name and logo for the club.

The offer reportedly on the table is for $90-million dollars for the real estate purchase. This offer is comprised of $12-million from Beacher and the rest from partner investors.

According to TMZ, Beacher plans to also spend $20-million for renovations to the property and build several bungalows for VIP guests of the club while keeping the main property intact.

Beacher plans to submit the offer to Playboy as early as Monday, February 8th.

Top brass at Playboy report that they would entertain the offer, but the price is way too low. The Playboy Mansion is currently listed for $200-million dollars.

Also zoning for a club business in the exclusive Holmby Hills neighborhood could be problematic at best.
