#NursesUnite when hosts of 'The View' mock Miss Colorado

Last Sunday Miss America was crowned and even though Miss Colorado, Kelly Johnson didn't win - she is now the viral buzz of the internet.

During the Miss America Pageant, Johnson performed a monologue detailing one story of her work as a nurse for patients with Alzheimer's. She claimed that one patient changed her life with his appreciation of nursing, and that she would never be "just a nurse."

However, Monday morning on the ABC talk show "The View", the hosts seemed to insult her speech and mock her profession.

One of the hosts, Michelle Collins said about Johnson "Then there was a girl who wrote her own monologue and I was like 'Turn the volume up, this is going be amazing, let's listen. She came out in a nurse's uniform and basically read her emails out loud and shockingly didn't win." jokingly.

Co-host, Joy Behar then weighed in by asking why she was wearing a "doctor's stethoscope."

Thousands of people went to Facebook and Twitter to voice their opinion on the hosts remarks using #NursesUnite.

The Facebook fan page for 'The View' was than barraged with comments about the hosts' negative remarks and demanded an apology.

No comments from 'The View' or the hosts were given as of Wednesday morning.
