Four robbers pistol-whip North Hills man in violent home invasion

NORTH HILLS, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - Four home-invasion robbers pistol-whipped a resident of the North Hills area of Los Angeles early Thursday and stole money, authorities said.

The robbery was reported at 3:20 a.m. in the 9200 block of Valjean Avenue, said Officer Liliana Preciado of Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived, Preciado said.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. The family dog was also kicked and beaten.

A description of the suspects was not available, Preciado said.
