Firefighters battle large commerical fire in Huntington Park

Firefighters from three agencies were fighting a three-alarm commercial fire in Huntington Park early today.

Three separate businesses were located inside the structure in the 2500 block of East 57th Street, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Randall Wright said.

Plastics, electrical items and wood were all alight in two of the businesses, Wright said, with firefighters trying to prevent the blaze from spreading to the third.

The fire was reported around 3:25 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Tim Bloom said.

The blaze was being fought by more than 100 firefighters from the L.A. County, Huntington Park and Vernon fire departments, Bloom said.
