Darth Vader walks bride down aisle in a Star Wars themed wedding

Hundreds waited hours, some even weeks for the opening day of the Star Wars movie. One couple waited a lot longer for December 17 though...Thursday was their wedding day.

Caroline Ritter walked down the aisle in front of the Chinese Theater in Hollywood to the Imperial March.

"It's the dawn of a new Star Wars era, it feels perfect" said Ritter.

Obi-Sean Crosby dressed as Obi-Wan-Kenobi officiated the wedding, the bouquet was on a light saber. The bride and groom even used a lightsaber knife to cut the cake.

Chewie and R2-D2 were in the wedding part too, and Darth Vader gave the bride away.

"For this day, I was her father, and I believe Andrew can take good care of her. If he does not, he'll answer to me," said a close friend of the bride, dressed up in a Darth Vader costume.

The two week wait for the movie and wedding paid off for a good cause too.

IMAX donated 5,000 to the Starlight Foundation on behalf of the couple.

The couple's parents didn't make it out from Australia, but all their friends from a galaxy far far away did.

"It was so beautiful. I'm so happy for them. I've known them for years, it was absolutely perfect," said Emily Christensen.

"Doing it with our adopted friends and seeing her so beautiful was amazing," said Andrew Porters.
