4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes near Joshua Tree National Park
TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. (FOX 11) - An earthquake struck Monday morning near the San Bernardino/Riverside County line.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) says the quake was reported at 9:26 a.m. about 10 miles south of Twentynine Palms, near the Joshua Tree National Park.

It was recorded at a depth of about 4.8 miles.
There were no immediate reports of damage. While there are many variables involved, geologists say damage can occur when earthquake magnitude reaches somewhere above 4 or 5.
