California authorities are seeking help as they investigate the death of a 69-year-old Jewish man after a confrontation during competing pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office determined 69-year-old Paul Kessler’s cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head and ruled the matter of death as homicide.

Officials said Paul Kessler died one day after a demonstrator allegedly hit him in the head with a megaphone, causing him to fall back and hit his head.

Witnesses said between five and six people ran away before deputies got there. All three teen boys are expected to survive.

Paw Works in Thousand Oaks is facing shut down as it struggles to secure permits for their facility. If that happens, workers say they may have to euthanize all their animals.

Police found high-end jewelry and hand bags in their home, in addition to walkie talkies and vehicle trackers.

The man followed the cook through the kitchen holding a chef's knife, lighter fluid, and his small dog on a leash.

The nine teens are between the ages of 14 and 17, authorities said.

“Some folks don’t even understand there are people involved. Feelings involved. I see their friends graduating and I’m still here at the courthouse…. hoping for justice," the boy's mother Nancy Iskander said.
