Woman not knowing she was pregnant has surprise birth

FORT DODGE, Iowa (FOX 11) - It's a mystifying concept...how can you not know you're pregnant until you go into labor? But it's happened before and it just happened again - this time to a woman in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

She said she made a doctor's appointment when she started feeling horrible stomach cramps and intense pain.

It turns out there was a baby ready to join the world.

Her husband was at work when he got the call...ya think he was shocked?

Ames Unity Hughes weighs just under seven pounds, she and mama are expected to leave the hospital later this week.
