'We're going to protect our kids': Sign at Texas school warns teachers may be armed

A sign outside a Texas school warns that teachers may be armed and they will do whatever it takes to protect the students.

Last week, the sign was placed by the entrance to Medina Independent School District, which has 303 students between an elementary school and a high school.

"Attention," the sign reads. "Please be aware that the staff at Medina ISD may be armed and will use whatever force is necessary to protect our students."

The school's board of trustees discussed the matter for a year, deciding that the sign was necessary to deter all kinds of violence, not just would-be school shooters.
