Uber offering free rides to LGBT locations in honor of Orlando victims

To honor the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting, Uber is offering deep discounts on rides this weekend to and from places around LA that are important to the local LGBT community's history and culture.

The offer is limited to two rides per person, and a $20 discount will be taken off the ride. The company says many rides should be totally free.

The company wrote on its website: "Like people across the world, we were deeply shocked and saddened by the recent murders at a gay nightclub in Orlando. The world is a brighter and better place when we are all free to be ourselves. And we want to bring people together, no matter who you are or where you're from."

The offer goes through Monday and can be used for the following locations in LA:

Hollywood LGBT Center
WeHo LGBT Center
The Abbey
Prescint
Fubar
Faultline
LACMA
Winward Circle
Will Rogers Beach - Between Sunset Blvd and San Vicente Blvd
