'Solo: A Star Wars Story' premieres at three iconic theaters

HOLLYWOOD, CA (FOX 11) - Time to board the Millenium Falcon!!! Well, in a couple of weeks, but Thursday night SOLO had its world premiere tonight in Hollywood and it was a SOLOBRATION on the Blvd.

The film's plot is defined as a Space Western that centers around Han Solo, and of course his lovable furry friend Chewbacca! Stars of the film include: Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, and Joonas Suotamos as Chewbacca! SOLO is directed by Ron Howard. Ron and Han!!

Fans have been waiting in anticipation for the lates Lucas film, and some have been waiting on Hollywood Blvd. since early this morning to get a glimpse at all the glitz and glam Disney had to offer at tonight's premiere. We caught up with some Star Wars fans outside of the premiere, and they did not disappoint-and neither will the film!

The film opens Memorial Day weekend, and is expected to earn approximately $170 million in its opening weekend. As far as tickets go, it had the second highest pre-sales (after Avengers Infinity War) on Fandango.
