Nintendo's NES Classic sells out in minutes on Amazon

Nintendo's NES Classic went on sale on Friday, November 11th, and it's already sold out in most places.

The mini-console is an updated version of the original NES that came out in 1985.

It includes 30 retro games and is retailing for $59.99 at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop and Amazon.

The console was offered on Amazon at 2pm PST Friday and was sold out within minutes.

There were also reports of the site not working for users.

Best Buy is also showing the item is sold out online, and most people are reporting the console is sold out in store locations as well.

Nintendo said on Twitter: "The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system is a hot item, and we are working hard to keep up with consumer demand. There will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year. Please contact your local retailers to check availability."
