FOX 11 parenting contributor: Tips for 'mompreneurs'

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Mompreneurs -- you know what they are. Moms who are entrepreneurs.

Nearly 2 million women-owned businesses have annual revenue greater than $1 million, according to the National Association of Women Business Owners.

A new book out in early August titled "Movers, Shakers, Mommies, and Makers" highlights stories from 11 mother entrepreneurs whose side-projects turned into nationally recognized brands.

Fox 11 Parenting Contributor Donna Tetreault has some of the tips and tricks these moms live by for anyone looking to start their own business.

-"Writing goals down has always helped too: long-term, short term daily. Writing down three things I want to get done today has really helped for stress management. If those three things get done, it is a good day."
-"The reality is, however, that running a business is inherently a roller-coaster ride. The struggles are almost constant, and I doubt we'll ever hit a point of arrival, where we say, "We made it! We are a success!" We celebrate the victories along the way and try our best to worry less when we have problems…..as far as work-life balance goes, I think it's a process."
