Father, live-in girlfriend arrested for torturing 5-year-old boy

MURRIETA, CA (FOX 11) - A five-year-old boy found badly tortured in his home in Murrieta. His father and live-in-girlfriend accused of child abuse.

Thirty-three-year-old Benjamin Whitten and twenty-five-year-old Jeryn Johnson were arrested on Tuesday.

Murrieta Fire and Rescue went to their house.

They found the five-year-old boy suffering from injuries so severe that he needed immediate medical attention and was then airlifted to a hospital in San Diego.

Police then searched the home which was in a horrible living condition with eleven dogs and two cats.
