One woman was killed and two men were severely injured early Monday in a fiery car crash in Northridge, authorities said.

The single-car crash was reported just before 2 a.m. in the 9900 block of White Oak Avenue, police said. The driver of a black Toyota sedan lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a traffic pole.

The car immediately burst into flames before the three occupants were pulled out.

A female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver and a male passenger in the backseat were both taken to the hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
