BURBANK, Calif. – "Vanderpump Rules" star DJ James Kennedy was arrested for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in Burbank earlier this week.
An official with the Burbank Police Department confirmed a report from Variety that officers were called to a home around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night after Kennedy, whose legal name is James Kennedy Georgiou, apparently got into an argument with a woman.
"The investigation determined it was a domestic incident, leading to Mr. Georgiou’s arrest," the statement to Variety said.
TMZ said a witness reportedly saw Kennedy grab the woman involved in the incident. However, officers said they did not see any visible injuries to her.

People reported following the arrest, he was booked and was released when he posted a $20,000 bail.
At this stage of the investigation, the identity of the woman involved in the alleged incident has not been released. Kennedy’s girlfriend, Ally Lewbar, was one of the Bravolebrities in attendance at Kathy Hilton’s Christmas party that evening.
Kennedy’s ex-girlfriend and former "Vanderpump Rules" cast member Kristin Doute had accused the DJ of physical abuse when they dated. Following the news of Kennedy’s arrest, the mother-to-be posted a screenshot of the TMZ article in her Instagram story with the caption "Finally."
