MTV Actor's Inspiration Comes From Being Adopted

Hollywood hottie Cody Saintgnue is so much more than a model/actor. He's lived a life no kid should live. He's witnessed painful things you'd think were right out of a movie. Now, Saintgnue is telling his true story to Fox 11 News.

I met Saintgnue at a foster care benefit for the Dave Thomas Foundation. The goal was to raise awareness for foster care and adoption. As I went to interview Saintgnue I assumed he was just one of the celebs who turned out in support. When he told me he had been in foster care himself I did a double-take.

Saintgnue is a super sweet, tall blond, with model good looks. That's what got him cast on MTV's Teen Wolf. It's his story off camera that tugs at the heart.

I sat down with Saintgnue for the 20th Anniversary of our Wednesday's Child adoption program on Fox 11, sponsored by the Dave Thomas Foundation. Saintgnue's story broke and warmed my heart all at the same time.

Saintgnue was taken into foster care at nine years old. He was adopted at twelve years old. Watch our interview for the true tale of life for so many kids who enter into protective custody.

Saintgnue credits his (adoptive) mom Brenda for his strength and success. "Love you mom" he says.

You can see Cody on MTV's Teen Wolf. He plays werewolf Brett Talbot www.mtv.com/shows/teen_wolf
