Mountain lion caught resting in someone's backyard in Pasadena
PASADENA, Calif. (FOX 11) - A mountain lion was spotted in someone's backyard in Pasadena Thursday afternoon -- apparently taking a little cat nap.
Pasadena police say they responded to reports of a mountain lion at a home in the 1600 block of Lake Avenue just before 5 p.m. and were able to confirm the sighting. No one was injured.
The 80-100 pound animal was sedated and safely removed from the neighborhood by California Fish and Wildlife officials.
The mountain lion will receive a medical evaluation before being released back into the wild, according to Pasadena city officials.
