Jack Larson, 1950s TV's Jimmy Olsen of 'Superman' dies

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - Jack Larson has died. He'll always be remembered for playing Jimmy Olsen in the 50's TV series 'The Adventures Of Superman.'

Larson was reluctant to take the role at first. He was afraid he'd be typecast, which he was, so Larson pretty much gave up acting except for occasional TV and movie appearances, usually Superman-related and spent the rest of his career as a playwright and producer.

Jack Larson was 87 when he died this weekend at his home in Brentwood.
