Authorities in Moreno Valley are investigating after one person was killed and three hospitalized following a mass overdose.

The home was bought 11 days before he arrived in California and killed three members of the Winek family.

A baby boy from Riverside County has died from a possible case of respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV.

A child from Riverside County is the first reported flu-related death in the area. In addition to the flu, the child, who was under 10, tested positive for RSV.

"Catfishing led to the deaths of the three most important people in my life.. my dad, my mom, and my sister," said Mychelle Blandin, daughter of Mark and Sharie Winek, and sister to Brooke Winek, who were killed in a triple homicide in Riverside the day after Thanksgiving.

"Mark, Sharie, and Brooke were loving people who did not deserve this tragedy,” the family said.

Police said 28-year-old Austin Lee Edwards, a former state trooper, traveled from Virginia to Riverside to meet a teen girl he 'catfished' online, then murdered the girl's mom and grandparents.

Austin Edwards, a former Virginia state trooper, was accused of catfishing a teen girl, then murdering her family when he went to meet her. Virginia State Police said he passed all their background checks.

Family said a mother, father and their daughter were killed in the fire Friday. Authorities say a person linked to their death was shot and killed near the California-Arizona border.

A homicide investigation was launched after three people were found dead in a house fire in Riverside.
