Former USC official to plead guilty in college admission scandal

Donna Heinel, a former USC senior associate athletic director, is expected to plead guilty Friday to her role in the fraud and bribery scheme in which the children of wealthy parents gained admission to some of the country's top universities as fake sports recruits.

USC to require students, staff be vaccinated against the flu by Nov. 1

For the second year in a row, the University of Southern California is going one step further to protect its students and staff against the flu, announcing a new mandate requiring all USC students, faculty, and staff to be vaccinated against influenza prior to Nov. 1.
