Two people found fatally stabbed inside Baldwin Park home

Neighbors in a Baldwin Park community were stunned to find out a man and woman were both found stabbed to death inside their apartment.

Tenants said police were just there on Christmas day responding to what neighbors said was a domestic disturbance call.

"Yesterday cops came because they were arguing," one tenant said. "It's shocking because I didn't know that it was going to get to that point."

Police discovered the bodies around 11:30 Tuesday morning after a family member called requesting a welfare check.

Neighbors said the couple had recently rented a room in the back house on the 4200 block of Center Street.

Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department haven't released any suspect information or a motive.

It's unclear if the man and woman, described as middle-aged and Asian, were murdered or if it was a murder suicide, according to detectives.

"We're in the early stages of processing the scene and all theories are still on the table," Lt. Rodney Moore, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, said.

Detectives are now interviewing other people who live at the complex.

"There's a lot of tenants over here," neighbor, Michael Pena, said. "I'm sure you would see people in and out who probably knew what happened, knew who they were and what they were going through."

Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.
