Back-to-back earthquakes strike San Bernardino County

Two back-to-back earthquakes struck in San Bernardino County on Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Data from the USGS indicated that the first quake registered at 9:44 a.m., four miles from San Bernardino, with a depth of about 4.5 miles. A short time later, it was followed by a second magnitude 3.0 quake in the same area at 9:48 a.m., which also had a depth of about 4.5 miles. 

The 3.5 magnitude quake was felt primarily in San Bernardino and other parts of the Inland Empire such as Ontario, Victorville, Hesperia, and Riverside. In addition, residents in Huntington Beach, Inglewood, Redondo Beach, Palm Springs, and even northern San Diego County reported they felt it.
