Man stabbed outside Disneyland, suspect arrested

One man stabbed another during an argument outside Disneyland, police said today. The stabbing in the 1500 block of South Harbor Boulevard occurred just before 10 p.m. Sunday, said Anaheim police Sgt. Jay Gallacher.

"They were involved in some type of argument and the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim several times," Gallacher said. He was transported to a hospital in unknown condition. Witnesses followed the suspect while in contact with police, and the man was arrested about 100 yards north the crime scene, the sergeant said. He was expected to be booked on suspicion of attempted murder.

The victim is known as "The Birdman" because he greets Disneyland visitors with parrots, a news videographer reported from the scene, adding that a parrot he had with him Sunday night was taken by an Orange County Animal Care control officer after the man was transported to a hospital.
