Gas prices still dropping across Southland

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped on Sunday for the 26th consecutive day, falling 1.1 cents to $3.84, its lowest amount since Sept. 25.  

The average price has dropped 27.9 cents during the streak, including seven-tenths of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.2 cents less than one week ago and 27.8 cents lower than a month ago, but 27.4 cents more than one year ago.  

The Orange County average price dropped for the 27th consecutive day, falling a half-cent to $3.774, its lowest amount since Sept. 24.  

It has dropped 31.4 cents during the streak, including one centSaturday.  The Orange County average price is 7 cents less than a week ago and 30.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 26.2 cents more than a year ago.
