City of Rosemead: United yet divided about presidential politics
It was a great day for a parade, and the annual celebration in Rosemead drew thousands as always. There's the marching bands, the food, the music, the friendship, topped off tonight be a fireworks show. A perfect place to talk presidential politics, what with all the red white and blue emotion on display.
It wasn't hard to find Hillary supporters, as this is a city tilting heavily towards more of a minority demographic, where she's strong in the polls, but there were Donald supporters as well. This demonstrated the validity the theory most are buying into that this is going to be a close, contentious maybe even nasty election. People I spoke with were backing Hillary because of her foreign policy experience, but also because they want to make sure Trump doesn't get in.
Trump supporters, even yes Latinos, were all about stopping terrorism, increasing jobs, and securing the border. Both ''sides'' if you will have drunk the kool-aid, are paying attention, are involved, and will exercise their rights as citizens to vote for the person or their choice , and isn't that what we envisioned and began back in 1776 ?
