12 residents at nursing facility in Yucaipa test positive for COVID-19

Twelve residents of a nursing facility in Yucaipa have tested positive for COVID-19, according to
San Bernardino County Department of Public Health.

Officials say a 89-year-old female resident of the nursing home died on Thursday after contracting COVID-19. The health department says she had underlying health issues and was at the same facility as the 12 other patients.

Meanwhile a resident of a second Yucaipa nursing facility is showing symptoms of COVID-19.

County Public Health officials say they are working with both facilities to expedite the immediate testing of all residents and employees at both facilities.
