Man with blowtorch detained in Woodland Hills

Residents in Woodland Hills made a citizen arrest after they saw a man with a blowtorch attempting to set Christmas trees and garbage cans on fire. Police say this person may be tied to the Kenneth Fire.

Palisades fire: 20,423 acres, 8% contained

The nearly 20,000-acre wildfire that leveled much of Pacific Palisades and left at least two dead, including one body that was removed from the rubble of a home along Pacific Coast Highway, was 6% contained Friday.
