Road rage suspect drove 10 mph on California freeway to anger other driver: CHP

Authorities are urging drivers to remain vigilant after they arrested two men in separate incidents stemming from road rage Saturday. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the first incident happened near Santa Clara and Central avenues in Oxnard. The suspect was reportedly chasing the victim and hit him with his car. That suspect was also arrested for felony DUI and he was driving on a suspended license. His vehicle was impounded.

In the second incident, a man was arrested for an active warrant and his vehicle impounded for also having a suspended license. The CHP said the suspect started "brake checking" another driver on the freeway, driving 10 mph "all in an attempt to incite a reaction."

"Road rage endangers lives and escalates tension on our roads. Let’s choose patience and make our highways safer for everyone," the CHP said.
