Pursuit ends in Van Nuys vehicle crash

A pursuit Friday afternoon ended in a crash in Van Nuys injuring one police officer.

Los Angeles police say the pursuit started at about 4:36 p.m. involving a stolen vehicle. The chase ended just minutes later when the suspect crashed in the area of Roscoe Boulevard and Lindley Avenue.

One officer was complaining of pain to the leg, LAPD says. The condition of the suspect is unknown and no other injuries were reported.

The immediate area was closed to traffic. One person is in custody. No further details were immediately known.

The investigation is ongoing.
