Police seek help arresting suspect in SoCal doughnut shop robberies

ANAHEIM, Calif. (FOX 11/CNS) - Anaheim police released photos and video footage of a suspect wanted for committing two armed robberies of doughnut shops within less than a half-hour.

The first robbery occurred just before 4 a.m. Tuesday at Winchell's Donuts at 901 S. Euclid St., said Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt. The robber, wielding a silver handgun, demanded money and fled with a cash register drawer of loot, he said. About 20 minutes later, the suspect hit Vandy's Donuts at 1007 N. Euclid St., Wyatt said.

Investigators suspect he also robbed a business in Los Angeles County, the sergeant said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 40s to 50s with an average build and a thin, black goatee. He was clad in black pants, a black hoodie, an orange construction vest and white Nike shoes, and fled in a dark-colored, possibly green, 2000-2003 Mercedes-Benz ML350 with paper license plates, according to police.
