Man pistol-whipped, injured in home invasion robbery

An Arcadia man was seriously injured today during a burglary of his residence by two armed men, police said.

The crime occurred in the 1900 block of Tulip Lane about 1:10 a.m., the Arcadia Police Department reported.

According to the preliminary investigation, the suspects forced entry into the residence, apparently intending to commit a burglary, police said. The victim woke up, and he was hit on the head and pistol whipped by one or both suspects, police said.

The suspects were wearing masks and dark clothing and were armed with handguns, police said. It was unclear if they stole anything.
