Laguna Hills mother of three found dead in her home

Neighbors Thursday night grieved over the loss of a young Laguna Hills mother found dead in her home.

"I can't explain how much I'll miss her," said Zitlali Correa, the victim's former neighbor.

Around 2:30, Orange County Sheriff Deputies got a call recommending a Welfare Check on the 25000 block of Via Lomas.

Zitlali Correa is the victim's former neighbor and arrived on scene as soon as she heard the news.

"They said he stabbed or shot her in the back and he left...." said Correa.

Correa used to babysit the victim's children and says they were her life. She also says the victim's husband ....a former military man.... often fought with his wife.

Deputies detained a man for questioning but will not say who.

They say they are not looking for anyone else right now

"We don't have any reason to believe there's any danger to the public," said Lt. Fred Thompson with the Orange County Sherriff's Dept.

Soon after deputies arrived, a man who neighbors identified as the woman's brother was wheeled out of the home, looking distraught...

The victim leaves behind three young children

Deputies say they are all ok and do not believe they were home when the incident happened

The world is not going to be the same without her. She was the reason why I always had a smile on my face," said Correa.

Deputies tell us they are still trying to obtain search warrants.

Once they're granted - deputies believe they'll be able to complete their investigation.
