California 7-Eleven looted, windows shattered after nearby street takeover

A 7-Eleven in California was looted by more than a dozen people after a street takeover broke out near the store.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, a street takeover broke out in the Rio Linda area of the county on October 8. Shortly after, a nearby 7-Eleven had its windows smashed and more than a dozen – possibly dozens – people came in and out with stolen items from the store.

Deputies released surveillance images of the incident on the department's social media pages:

The search remains for the suspects involved in the looting of the 7-Eleven store. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 916-874-5115.

Officials did not give an estimate of the losses suffered by the store from the Oct. 8 looting and break-in.
