It's going to be a hot game and a hot day. UCLA plays against Bowling Green Saturday in their home opener at the Rose Bowl. 

UCLA welcomed the newest member of the Bruins women's basketball team: a 10-year-old. It is part of a special partnership to help and inspire kids facing serious illnesses and disabilities.

The ArkStorm flood is also known as "the Other Big One" after the nickname of an expected major earthquake on the San Andreas Fault, according to researchers with UCLA. But, unlike an earthquake, the ArkStorm would lead to catastrophe across a much larger area.

Beginning Monday, UCLA will drop its indoor masking requirement, with the exception of areas where face coverings are still mandated by county health officials, such as health care facilities and on public transportation, campus officials announced.

Governor Gavin Newsom says University of California regents were not consulted about UCLA leaving the Pac-12 Conference.

“I feel trapped and betrayed by my own culture and my own family. I am the retirement fund, college fund for my younger siblings and I feel trapped," 27-year-old Thea Pham said in a TikTok video that has gone viral.

The driver was identified by UCLA PD on Friday as 22-year-old Andrew Rivas. He was taken into custody at the Ronald Reagan Medical Center and was booked for reckless driving and evading an officer.

In a major shakeup for college sports, it appears the Pac-12 Conference will once again become the Pac-10 after the departure of two major California schools.

Citing rising COVID-19 cases across the county and on campus, UCLA Friday will reinstate an indoor mask-wearing mandate for all students, staff and visitors at campus facilities.
