Vin Scully doesn't want the spotlight in World Series broadcast

Several petitions have gone up online asking for Vin Scully in the broadcast booth for the world Series, but Scully himself is not signing on. Scully retired last year after 67 incredible seasons with the Dodgers, becoming one of the best known and loved broadcasters in sports. Scully, who is now 89 years old, says he doesn't think he belongs in the broadcast booth and doesn't want people to think he's eager for the spotlight.

He has been attending games, but is keeping a low profile. Broadcaster Joe Buck will call the World Series games for FOX and has told Scully they'd love to have him in the booth, but he keeps saying no.
