Woman shot in head by teens during botched robbery
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (FOX 11) - As he sat on a curb in the dark of night Michael Riordan said, "they tried to get money off me… "
Riordan had just walked up Mountain View Rd. from the corner 7-Eleven store when a pair of teens described as Hispanic, 17 to 19-years old wearing hoodies, approached the man and his girlfriend.
Riordan says, "They tried to get money off me…tried to grabbed me…backed up a little and shot my girl."
He says one of the two men shot her in the head.
Paramedics raced to get her to a hospital where she is now in stable condition.
Police are calling it a botched robbery. People in the neighborhood are stunned and police are looking for the two suspects.
