Water main break floods Gardena street

A water main break flooded a Gardena Street Thursday morning, police said.

The break was reported about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of Rosecrans Avenue, just west of Vermont Avenue, according to the Gardena Police Department.

The break caused relatively heavy flooding on the south side of Rosecrans Avenue, police said.

Crews were on this scene this morning making repairs. Rosecrans Avenue, between Vermont and Berendo avenues, was closed for the repairs, police said.
